And no, this time the answer is not GHOSTBUSTERS.
Honestly, who are you going to call on the days where fear is clutching your heart pulling you back with all of its might?
Who are you going to call on the days where you feel defeated and worthless?
Who are you going to call when you want to give up on your dreams?
Who are you going to call?
You know those days where it takes every ounce of your spirit to keep moving forward. The days where you are easily irritated because of the intense amount of fear polluting your spirit. The days where you wake up and the doubt is so strong, so defeating, and so convincing. The days where you just want to stay in bed and hide from the tasks, behaviors or decisions that you value, that even align with your life’s purpose or goals. When you are struggling to keep yourself motivated and encouraged, who are you going to call?
Who are you going to call to on those days?
Or what about the days where you feel like giving up? Where once again fear has taken a stronghold upon your spirit, and you feel like What’s the point?!
Who are you going to call to push you forward? Who are you going to call to motivate you or redirect your thinking and empower you to go to after precisely what you want? Who? Who is it for you? Who is your cheerleader? The individual you can almost always count on to answer the phone?
Or are you the individual who believes you don’t need anyone to do that for you? Perhaps you are confident and you can do it all on your own. Or maybe you are the individual who thinks no friend or person would want to help you?
Well, let’s get real honest for one second. First off, there is nothing in this world that you have done on your own. Just as there is no such thing as a free meal, there’s nothing you have done on your own. We were created to be relational beings – to support and help one another.
It takes two people to make a baby. It even took your parents to teach you how to walk. It took a village of teachers to educate you, and it took a handful of experiences to grow your emotional intelligence. Anything you think you taught yourself, I would challenge you that somewhere at some point in your life you witness someone else doing the activity, and you unconsciously, subconsciously, or consciously meticulously watched them to learn how they are doing what they are doing.
If you believe you have done anything on your own, well then congratulations you are successfully lying to yourself.
I wonder where else you are lying to yourself? I even would be curious to see how much more productive and empowering your life would be if you stopped lying to yourself.
Now, if you think no one cares. Please no that couldn’t be further from the truth. People do care. There are tons of people out there that want to help you and want to see you succeed. I have learned as a professional results coach that when you think no one would want to help you it’s because you do not see yourself as worthy for help.
Maybe you are telling yourself, well, I don’t want to bother anyone. Guess what – people who volunteer to help you or who let it be known they would like to help you. If a person offers their assistance, then you are not bothering them.
Life is going to get tough at times. Life is going to throw sharp, mean, destructive obstacles at you. But, when you have that one or a few people you can count on to redirect you – motivate you – reenergize you on why you wanted to achieve that goal you will be UNSTOPPABLE.
Today, take a few minutes to write down the names of people who do the following for your spirit:
- Who reenergizes you?
- Who can get you to believe in your potential? To think that you can do anything you set your mind too?
- Who can within seconds snap you out of your bad mood?
- Who empowers you to do the impossible?
That person needs to be on your speed dial. If you do not have a person who does all this, please hire a coach. There are a ton of coaches out there. I promise you if you want more from your life – if you’re going to reach the very top of your potential than hire a coach today.
