If you are struggling for reasons to NOT give up, I hope this reason helps you: Jesus said never to give up. Personally, every day, I strive to be more like Jesus. He is the example we must all live up to, and to become more like. Jesus always tells us to pray and never give up (Luke 18:1). We are encouraged to pray about everything!
” Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful (grateful) hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with a peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.“
If that’s not good enough for you, how about what He says in Matthew 7:7-8:
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. Shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Sometimes we wish things would happen instantly. That’s unrealistic. I know that might be hard to digest in a world of instant gratification. However, we must remember what 2 Corinthians 4:18 says,
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
This verse means that all those things you are instantly getting will fade away. And don’t they? Everything you get eventually becomes normalized to you, and then you become desensitized to the thing. However, the things you cannot see, like your faith seed growing are eternal.
The Word (a book of truth) says that things take T-I-M-E. The question is, do you have enough discipline, resiliency, and faith to keep being persistent so you can then be an OVERCOMER?
If your answer is yes, as I hope it is, then please don’t be discouraged but encouraged. If you are allowing the peace of God to rule in your heart, then press into that peace while you wait for your prayers to manifest. Give yourself time and the prayer time to grow. Remember, Jesus, explains the way his Father’s Kingdom works to a seed. First, we plant, then we wait (TIME), and then we will have a harvest. Keep your faith. Trust that your harvest is coming!
